HERE ARE SOME OF THE WAYS WE SPENT THE MONEY RAISED IN 2008
- £6,503 to the MS Trust to support their work in providing information, education, research and support to those affected by MS.
- £3,788 to educate children in Africa.
- £4,327 to the Alzheimer's Research Trust to fund scientific research to find ways to prevent, cure or treat Alzheimer's disease and related dementias.
- £2,735 to the Campaign to Protect Rural England.
- £2,112 to support the work of King's College Hospital's department of diabetes.
- £1,502 to Prostate UK for grants to improve patient treatment and care.
- £2,165 to Plan to combat childhood poverty in the world's poorest countries.
- £1,234 to Macmillan Cancer Support to improve the lives of people affected by cancer.
- £1000 to ASSIST Sheffield to fund the support of destitute asylum seekers in and around Sheffield.
- £800 to Knit for Peace to send war knitted jumpers, hats, scarves, blankets and baby clothes for the children of Afghanistan.
